Biography

A social-psychologist, Professor deYoung is interested in trauma, the social history of madness, and collective reactions such as moral panics. She has published extensively on the nexus between trauma, culture and memory, and has presented scholarly papers both in this country and abroad. She is active in community organizations, and has testified often as an expert witness on sexual victimization. Prof. deYoung also is a Board Certified Expert in Traumatic Stress (B.C.E.T.S.).
