About Change U
Change U is an exciting opportunity for Grand Valley State University students, faculty and staff, as well as members from the greater west Michigan community to explore the interconnected social justice issues, the systems that perpetuate oppression and the rich history of social justice work. This social justice training series is comprised of two consecutive eight week sessions: Change U 1.0 and Change U 2.0.
Change U 1.0 participants will examine past, effective justice movements and work to develop a shared critique of systems of power as well as how change is created.
Change U 2.0 participants will have the opportunity to learn concrete skills and strategies they can use to create the change they want to see in their local communities.

This training series will be facilitated by experienced local organizers and guest speakers who specialize in multi-issue and cross-community organizing.
All sessions will be held on the Allendale campus of Grand Valley State University.
This free training is made possible through a generous grant from Arcus Foundation Gay and Lesbian Fund and is co-sponsored by the GVSU Division of Inclusion and Equity.
