Professor Michael Charles De Meyer teaches undergraduate advertising, public relations and research courses. Professionally he has held a variety of executive positions in both the profit and the nonprofit sectors including CEO of a marketing/design agency and a strategic brand consulting practice. He is experienced in a variety of industries including aerospace, consumer electronics, automotive aftermarket, RTA furniture, fancy and packaged foods, retail, medical equipment and textiles. Professor De Meyer has vast experience in the nonprofit sector in marketing, communications and fund development. He has served on the International Board of Directors of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) in New York and a number of local professional association and nonprofit boards. In addition, he is a past chair of JDRF’s International Public Affairs Committee and was the architect of a JDRF major international branding initiative. Professor De Meyer continues to volunteer his time as an advisor at Start Garden, Cabinet member with LaughFest and other nonprofit initiatives. He practices in the field as an independent brand strategy and communications consultant.
