The Fourth Wall

Directed by Kenny James

Wildwood Park
by Doug Wright
Directed by Megan Smith

The "Fourth Wall" is a biting modern comedy that critiques politics and theatrical conventions. On the other side of that wall may be hope, possibly even life, or, may be a hardwood dinette table with six comfortable chairs.

"Wildwood Park" presents a thrilling look at the seductive nature of horror as a real estate agent shows a mansion that has been the site of extreme and well-publicized violence to an interested client.

Photography Professor Victoria Veentra's photo "Alice meets the Librarian at Main St." won the "Tribute to Fern Stefonik Award". The 20x 30 inch Chromogenic print was created with a cardboard pinhole camera and is part of an ongoing series of "Conversations", exploring the ebb and flow of them over extended time frames. There are at least 12 people engaged in conversations at the table, gathering shortly after the reception for the fall 2005 photography thesis exhibition on campus. "The extremely long exposures capture the color tones but not the details of the individuals at the table," Veenstra explains. "The color is the film's rendition of differing light sources."
