Michael Ott (Associate Professor): Professor Ott specializes in the Critical Theory of the Frankfurt School with special emphasis on the study of the critical theory of religion, social inequalities in civil society, globalization, and future studies. He has a book published on these topics entitled: Max Horkheimer s Critical Theory of Religion: The Meaning of Religion in the Struggle for Human Emancipation. In his teaching and social activism, Professor Ott seeks the dialectical integration of both theory and praxis in the critical analysis of modern society. He is also a coordinator of the international course on the Future of Religion, which is annually held at the Inter-University Centre in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
