Michigan teachers will be able to register for Continuing Education Credits (C.E.U.'s) by attending and / or presenting at this conference.

Dr. Phyllis Rackin

Keynote Speaker – Dr. Phyllis Rackin, Professor of English Emerita, University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Rackin, a former President of the Shakespeare Association of America, has published five books on Shakespeare: Shakespeare's Tragedies; Stages of History: Shakespeare's English Chronicles; and Engendering a Nation: A Feminist Account of Shakespeare's English Histories, which she wrote in collaboration with Professor Jean E. Howard; Shakespeare and Women, and an anthology of essays on The Merry Wives of Windsor, co-edited with Professor Evelyn Gajowski. Her awards include an ACLS fellowship and a Lindback award for distinguished teaching.

Andrea Gammon

Plenary Speaker - Andrea Gammon, Director of Education from the Stratford Shakespeare Festival. Andrea received her BFA in Musical Theatre from the Boston Conservatory in Boston, MA, her BEd from the University of Western Ontario and her MA in Shakespeare Studies at the Shakespeare Institute in Stratford-upon-Avon, England. In her capacity as Director of Education with the Festival, she is the program director for the Festival’s education, outreach and enrichment activities for all patron interest groups including the Shakespeare School for students, the Teaching Shakespeare Program for teachers and multiple enrichment and Forum events for general audiences.
