Festival Box Office/Information and Policies

Reservations and questions concerning performances may be directed to the Box Office, (616) 331-2300 or (616) 331-2960, beginning August 30. Box Office hours are 10-5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and one hour prior to all performances. Fax: (616) 331-2700. 

Free Admission Events
Admission to the Festival Scholar presentations, the preshow informances, the opening night reception, the screening of the documentary Shakespeare Behind Bars and discussion with Curt Tofteland, the Renaissance Faire, the Greenshow Performances, the Bard to Go performances for ArtPrize September 29 and October 1 in front of the Gerald R. Ford Museum and November 4 at Loosemore Auditorium, and the Shakespeare Festival Student Competition awards ceremony are free and open to the public. No reservations are required for attending any of these events or the receptions following them.

Ticketed Events
The Festival Mainstage production of The Tempest Sept 29-Oct 8 at Louis Armstrong Theatre at the Allendale Campus requires purchased tickets. 

Obtaining Tickets

The Tempest ticket prices:

 

General Admission

Alumni, faculty, staff, and seniors

All students (GVSU and others) and groups of 10 or more

Tickets for The Tempest  may be purchased in person at our Box Office in the Performing Arts Center, Allendale Campus, after August 30. Tickets for The Tempest may also be purchased with a service fee through Star Tickets Plus at any of their ticket agencies, online at www.startickets.com, or by calling (616) 222-4000 or (800) 585-3737.

Tickets may not be reserved without payment. In the event that the performance is not sold out, available tickets will be sold at the door. Our FLEXPASS system allows patrons to purchase show tickets at a discount.  

Mail Orders
Mail orders for tickets to Festival events and for high school reservations to the weekday matinees and Bard to Go will be accepted.

Sign Language Interpretation
The Tempest will have a sign language interpreters for the October 5 performance. Call the Box Office at (616) 331-2300 for more information.

Accessibility
Wheelchair access is available at all events and appropriate parking is available. Please notify the Box Office if you would like a map showing special access.

Concessions
Snacks will be available in the lobby during intermission.
