Service & Advocacy Organizations

There are currently more than 60 Service & Advocacy related student organizations at GVSU!  Some of these groups have existed for more than 30 years, and many have local and national affiliations.

The complete list of organizations is available by clicking here, and then clicking on "Service & Advocacy."

Service and Advocacy organizations can apply for Student Senate funding.  If you need assistance with this, please contact Liz Collver, or use the Office of Student Life's drop-in advising hours during the academic year (Monday-Friday from 1pm-4pm).

In the 2016-2017 academic year, the Service & Advocacy Council will meet twice to discuss best practices, as well as tips and tricks in setting up a service project or community partnership.  Those dates are:

  • Monday, September 12 from 8:00pm-9:30pm in 1104 Kirkhof
  • Monday, January 23 from 8:00pm-9:30pm in 1104 Kirkhof

If you are interested in learning more about this topic, but cannot attend either meeting listed above, please contact Liz Collver to set up an alternate time.
