AACSB Accreditation

You will soon be making one of the most important choices of your life as you select the institution from which to earn a degree. If you are considering a career in business, the first criterion to use in narrowing the field should be accreditation by AACSB International – the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

Just over 900 institutions around the world have achieved this recognition for assuring quality and continuous improvement in their programs, faculty and resources. Accredited since 1997 Seidman College of Business and its School of Accounting, is one of those institutions.

Specific research findings show that AACSB-accredited schools have:

Why is AACSB Accreditation Important?

AACSB accreditation ensures that business school graduates have learned from the best and are ready to perform on day one. Here are a few ways that accreditation affects the quality of a business school’s education:

  • We carefully plan and rigorously monitor our curriculum to make sure that business students receive an education true to our mission – current, relevant, and always improving.
  • We recruit our professors from among the top academic talent. They continuously develop their teaching prowess; enrich the field of management knowledge and instruction; and impact our students, school, and community in positive ways.
  • Our facilities and the learning resources they house are designed to fulfill the objectives of our courses and programs. We regularly evaluate them to ensure that they are accessible, up-to-date, and effectively utilized.
  • We make consistent efforts to achieve demographic diversity in our student body as well in our faculty and staff ranks.
