DOUG LIPINSKI, GRAND VALLEY STATE DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF ATHLETICS - EXTERNAL RELATIONS
Let's HUDDLE up and listen to Doug Lipinski KICK OFF the GVSU athletic season with a preview of GVSU's fall sports programs, a recap of last year's accomplishments and what improvements are in store for the athletic facilities.
Under Lipinski's leadership, the Lakers have continually led the way nationally in all things marketing. The GVSU football team annually sits among the nation's best in attendance. His ability to create greater exposure for the university through special events and develop new revenue-generating ideas has been a staple during his tenure.
Lipinski graduated from GVSU in 1998 with a B.S. in Advertising and Public Relations and earned his Masters of Public Administration in 2002. He was a four-year member of the varsity baseball team and spent the subsequent four years as an assistant to legendary coach Steve Lyon before transitioning to an administrative role with the Lakers. A native of Sterling Heights, Michigan, Lipinski currently resides in Allendale with his wife, Carrie, and their two sons, Adam and Lukas.
