Secchia Breakfast Lecture addresses the convergence of engineering, business, and technology

Speaking to a full room, Michigan native Mark White kicked off the latest Secchia Breakfast Lecture event with a summary of his professional career path highlighting his early years at Dow Chemical and General Electric Co. He spoke of his burgeoning drive to be an entrepreneur even before he fully understood what that entailed. White, who is President and CEO of Shape Corp., spoke of being open to new opportunities while trusting in yourself and your team to figure out the next step. Following his remarks, he facilitated a panel discussion with Stacy Paul, aerospace engineer and CEO of Array of Engineers (AoE) and Robert Niemiec, Managing Partner at Twisthink, a technology, innovation and product design consultancy.

The three captivated the audience through stories featuring the interplay between engineering, business, and technology. Stacy Paul emphasized her focus on encouraging access to STEM experiences for younger generations. Robert underscored the critical importance of teamwork and collaboration in facilitating innovation.

This closes out our Secchia Breakfast Lecture Series for the 2022-23 academic year. We look forward to engaging with the community as the series continues in the fall.
