Getting ready to take the CFP® Certification Examination can be daunting. For most people, a review course is a critical part of the preparation. Grand Valley State University is pleased to offer a CFP® Certification Examination Review Course. This review course will be held online. The course will focus on a review of major topics from the CFP Board's certification examination topic list and is structured as follows:

• Personal Income Tax Planning
• Estate Planning
• Retirement & Benefits Planning
• Insurance Planning
• Investment Planning

Course Availability

This course will be held in June every year and is held online:

• 3 hours in the evening
• 2 days one week
• 3 days the next week

Registrant Eligibility

Registrants for this review course must have completed a CFP Board-Registered program or be eligible to take the CFP® Certification Examination on a challenge basis (see CFP Board website for more information).

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER , and , which it awards to individuals who successfully complete initial and ongoing certification requirements.

Grand Valley State University does not certify individuals to use the CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER and certification marks. CFP® certification is granted only by Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. to those persons who, in addition to completing an educational requirement such as this CFP Board-Registered Program, have met its ethics, experience, and examination requirements.
