Award of Excellence (Michigan Resident):
This scholarship provides awards of $4,800 ($1,200 a year for up to 4 consecutive years). Recipients of this award must have a 3.5 grade point average and a 26 ACT composite score and a complete admission application to Grand Valley by December 31st. Students must be graduates of Michigan high schools and Grand Valley must be the first institution they attend following high school graduation.
This scholarship is renewable for three additional years (eight consecutive semesters total)provided the student maintains a 3.25 grade point average at Grand Valley. The student must also enroll full-time and have completed 25 GVSU credits after the first year, 55 credits after the second year, and 85 credits after the third year.

However, we reserve the right to make changes and/or correct criteria stated for a scholarship. We also reserve the right to withdraw the availability of a scholarship should funding be cancelled. Scholarship criteria may change with each entering fall class.
