Timetable for Review Process

September 1:  Applications for sabbatical are due (faculty member must “SUBMIT”). Units and/or Colleges provide feedback as soon as possible to the proposal author.  After receiving the unit feedback, the candidate can revise the proposal.

September 23:   Revised sabbatical applications are due (faculty member must “SUBMIT”). 

September 23-30:  Unit completes discussion on each sabbatical proposal. Unit Head will call for a vote on the proposal (Recommend, Recommend with reservation, Do not recommend).

September 30:  Unit Head writes a summary of the unit feedback and actions and submits recommendation via the online sabbatical site. No further revisions to the proposal are permitted.

October 30:  The College/Library committee charged with sabbatical review forwards recommended proposals by tiers to the Dean (Recommend, Recommend with reservation, Do not recommend). 

November 15:  Dean forwards recommended proposals to the University Sabbatical Review Committee. 

December 6:  University Sabbatical Review Committee forwards recommended proposals by tiers to the Provost (Recommend, Recommend with reservation, Do not recommend).

January 31:  Provost forwards decisions to the President and informs the Deans and University Sabbatical Review Committee.
