Laker for a Lifetime River Bank Run Prep (6 Photos)

During the 5/3 River Bank Run, Grand Valley uses FUNDracers and other volunteers to help raise money for the Grand Valley Fund to support Grand Valley students.  In 2014, the Future Alumni Association created signs for the Grand Valley Spirit Station used on race day.

ExtravaGRANDza 2014 (1 Photos)

In 2014, the Laker Traditions Team introduced a new campus tradition - ExtravaGRANDza - and the Future Alumni Association enjoyed being part of the "Last Tour" event for graduating students.  FAA provided information about the Grand Valley State University Alumni Association and had students chart where they would be headed after graduation on a large map.  The Future Alumni Association enjoyed being part of the inaugural event and is looking forward to next year.

Community Outreach Week 2014 (2 Photos)

The Future Alumni Association participates in Community Outreach Week (COW) each year.  In 2014, a group of students went to the Seidman Boys and Girls Club in Grand Rapids and had a great time.  Any student can get involved with COW by visiting the website.

GVS(You) Week 2014 (6 Photos)

During the 2nd annual GVS(You) Week, the Future Alumni Association sponsored a hot chocolate social to mingle with students and 2 "thank you" writing opportunities - one in Kirkhof and one in DeVos. This year, over 200 students wrote thank you notes for University donors, which were mailed in March. Additionally, information about private giving was displayed around campus to help educate the student body about the ways donors invest in students.

GVS(You) Week 2013 (10 Photos)

The Future Alumni Association hosted an information table on the Allendale campus during the first annual GVS(You) Week from February 18-22, 2013. Students stopped by and learned about the organization and had the opportunity to send hand-written 'Thank You' cards to university donors - 109 cards were signed in all. Banners and posters were hung around campus throughout the week to bring attention to campus projects made possible by donors.
