Abstract: The contributions made by Michigan to NASA’s early space program are not well known but did you know that our state once actively launched rockets into space from the Upper Peninsula? From rockets to rovers, space food to space shots, I will discuss the role that Michigan played in helping humans first leave Earth’s cradle.
