Attend Math in Action 2012

Math in Action will be held in Mackinac Hall on the GVSU Allendale Campus on Saturday, February 25, 2012. Math in Action is of interest to K–12 teachers of mathematics, administrators, curriculum directors, parents, prospective teachers, and college and university mathematics education, mathematics, statistics, and education faculty.

This year, the conference features a choice of 5 of 6 concurrent interactive sessions.  During sessions, participants engage in hands-on activities they can use with their own students in learning mathematics.

Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. Sessions begin at 8:30 a.m. Conference registration (includes morning coffee and lunch) is $30 for teachers, administrators, parents, and others; and $15 for undergraduate students. SB-CEUs will be available for most sessions.  (Registration for SB-CEUs occurs at registration the morning of the conference and costs an additional $25.  Please bring a checkbook or cash - credit cards are not accepted the morning of the conference.)

Registration closes on February 6. The program and registration forms are both online.   Please do not delay!

Adventures with Mathematics books will be available for sale at Math in Action. Books are being sold at the special conference price of $10 (these are $12.50 each online at mictm.org). Cash or check only, please. See the MCTM website for information about these books.
