Summer Computer Camp
for students entering grades 5-10

Students entering grades 5-10 are invited to learn computer skills while having fun this summer!

Building Online Learning Communities for Kids is hosted by the RMSC and will be held at the GVSU Allendale Campus June 21-24, 2010.

The camp is designed for beginner to advanced computer users. Participants will learn to build and participate in online learning communities. Using Google accounts, participants will learn to use documents, spreadsheets, drawing and presentation tools to study science. Participants will be grouped by age, ability, and interest. The content will also focus on computing and related sciences including telecommunications, digital imaging, and Web 2.0 tools.

The week will stress using online learning environments safely. The participants will create an electronic portfolio of their work which can grow with them as they continue their education.

Classes will be held 9:00am-3:00pm each day. The cost is $75. Registration deadline is June 7 , 2010. For more information and the application, visit the RMSC website at www.gvsu.edu/rmsc.
