STAT-urday

Super STAT-urday was a one-day camp program designed to introduce students currently in grades 6th through 8th to the power of statistics and its applications to various fields to celebrate the International Year of Statistics.  During Super STAT-urday, students rotated in groups through fun and engaging activities facilitated by Grand Valley faculty.  For instance, participants learned how statistics are used to help make data-based decisions within disciplines such as chemistry, biology, geography, and many more!

The camp was held at GVSU’s Allendale Campus and took place on Saturday, November 9th, 2013 from 8:30 am – 3:30 p.m.  The cost of the camp was $10 and included a t-shirt, lunch, and snacks.
