It's almost time for the GVSU Farmers Market.  Starting June 6th at 10 am the GVSU Farmers Market will kick-off their 6th season.  The farmers market will run every Wednesday starting June 6th through September 26th from 10 am - 1:30 pm in parking lot F.  (No markets July 4th or August 29th.)


There will be music, free smoothies and lots of fresh veggies and fruit along with baked goods, treats for your dog, jerky and kettle korn.  Don't forget to stock up on your salsa's and dry mixes too!

Barnum worked at Grand Valley for nearly 11 years. She started in 1987 as a visiting instructor of accounting and then served as assistant dean of the Seidman College of Business from 1991-1994. She also worked as interim director of Continuing Education, and as manager of marketing and advertising before leaving in 1998.



Funeral services were Saturday, April 7, at Fountain Street Church, 24 Fountain St. NE in Grand Rapids.

The Grand Valley State University community is mourning the death of Stuart Padnos, an entrepreneur, businessman and generous donor to the university. Stuart, who was the senior vice president at Louis Padnos Iron and Metal Company, died Tuesday, April 3. He was 90.

Grand Valley State University's annual Arts at Noon Series begins this Wednesday, January 11, at 12:00 noon in the Louis Armstrong Theatre with a free performance by the exceptional Grand Rapids Symphony.




There are seven concerts in the series this winter ranging from traditional string quartet repertoire to contemporary percussion works.  Except as noted above for our first concert on January 11, all of the Arts at Noon concerts will take place in the Cook-DeWitt Center, begin at 12:00 noon, and last approximately one hour.
