Team Rosters

It is each team captain’s responsibility to ensure that all team members are listed on the team roster card, which is available at each team’s regular season games. A player may be added to a team’s master roster card at any of that team’s regular season games, even if the game is a forfeit. Each team’s roster will be frozen following their last regular season game. Participants AND their correct G-numbers must be included on the team’s roster card to be eligible for the playoffs. The team captain is responsible for checking the eligibility of his/her players at any point during the season by contacting the intramural sports office.   However, ONLY G-numbers may be corrected in the intramural sports office. There is a $5 office fee for a participant to add to the team roster card in the intramural sports office. A participant may only be added in the intramural sports office if the office staff can confirm that the participant’s name appears on a scoresheet of the team that the participant wishes to add. This must be completed by the first scheduled playoff game. A participant must make an appointment with the intramural sports office during business hours. Any participant who provides an incorrect or illegible G-number will not be permitted to play until a correct and legible G-number is provided. Further, any participant who does not have their correct G-number on the roster card by the teams last regular season game is ineligible to participate in any playoff games UNLESS the G-number appears on the ID card at the team’s first scheduled playoff game, only.

A participant must show their GVSU identification card (see below) and participate in the intramural event to be able to sign the team’s roster card. A participant is still able to sign the roster card if the game is a forfeit. Otherwise, a participant is considered to have played for a team if their name appears on the scoresheet. A captain may not sign in a participant.  Only supervisors are authorized to check rosters.  Officials and scorekeepers may check scoresheets prior to each game played. A participant that arrives late to a game must check-in with a supervisor to be added to the roster card and scoresheet prior to being able to participate.
