Responsibilities include fitness assessments, equipment orientations and conducting personal exercise programs. Must have completed MOV 320 Exercise Testing and Programming, MOV 300 Kinesiology, MOV 304 Exercise Physiology and possess a current copy of the ACSM.
Set up and monitor facilities, supervise classes, check passes, implement policies, and handle customer service issues. Position is responsible for the inventory and maintenance of equipment. Prefer fitness facility experience. Must be CPR and First Aid certifications.
Teach group exercise classes. Instructors teach Yoga, Pilates, Hip Hop, Kick Boxing, Spinning, and Water Classes. Prefer AFAA certification. Non-certified, experienced instructors (one year minimum) may also apply. Starting wage is based on experience and skills.
Services provided include Chair Massage, Full body massage, and complete client charts. Must have completed all coursework to become a message practitioner, including all practical hours, and be registered to take the national exam. Starting wage is based on experience and skills.
Answering phone, data entry, sales and deposits, online searches, developing informational packets and reports, and assisting with daily operations of the Fitness and Wellness Center. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs that include Word, Excel, Access, and web search engines.
Officiate intramural sports that include softball, volleyball, flag football, floor hockey/broomball, basketball, and soccer. We will provide the training; no experience required. Must attend training sessions, meetings, and demonstrate knowledge for the sport. Officials work an average of 8 to 20 hours per week. Work is seasonal, depending upon the sport officiated.
