Sept. 8 & 9, 2017 - Women & Leadership: First Conference of U.S. Women Governors, Sept 8 @ 7:00pm, Eberhard Center #215, Sept 9 @ 9:00am, Loosemore Auditorium - DeVos. What are the challenges, rewards, and opportunities encountered by women in executive leadership roles? How can we prepare and encourage the next generation of female leaders? The Hauenstein Center has partnered with the National Governors Association to hold the first ever gathering of U.S. Women Governors and other scholars and leaders to discuss leadership, common ground, and gender-relevant issues. Join us for lively keynotes and panel discussions with Governors Jennifer Granholm, Kathleen Blanco, Martha Collins, Madeleine Kunin, Janet Napolitano, Beverly Perdue, Barbara Roberts, Jane Swift, Christine Todd Whitman, and more. Author Deborah Rhode will discuss her new book, Women and Leadership. And for a discussion of female achievement here in Michigan we welcome esteemed panelists Lisa Posthumus Lyons, Birgit Klohs, and GVSU Provost Maria Cimitile. RSVP for this event.
