If you wish to appeal your parking citation, you may do so in person, in writing or online. 

Please note: The decision of the Traffic Judiciary is the FINAL step within the University judiciary system.  For complete information on the appeals process, see the GVSU Traffic and Parking Ordinance.

Citations 40 days old or older are no longer appealable.


In person:
You may speak to an appeals officer in person on a first come, first serve basis, there are no appointments or phone calls taken.  Appeals will be heard/read weekly with the exception of during holiday breaks.

An appeals officer will be at the following locations, dates and times listed below:

ALLENDALE CAMPUS

Mondays, 3 pm to 4 pm
Wednesdays, 8:30 am to 9:30 am

 Public Safety, Service Building at the Allendale Campus

PEW CAMPUS
Tuesdays, 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM

Pew Campus Security, 102 Eberhard Center at the Pew Campus

 


In Writing:
You may stop by the Public Safety Services office, located in the 
Service building, Allendale Campus or on Pew Campus at the Security Desk, located in the Eberhard Center. You will be asked to fill out an appeal form giving your explanation in detail and turn it in with your ticket.  An appeal decision will be mailed to you in 7 to 10 days, to the address on the appeal form, or emailed if an email address was provided.  The Public Safety Services office is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
