TRAFFIC AND PARKING ORDINANCE

Welcome to Grand Valley State University

This brochure is designed to provide you with information regarding traffic ordinances and parking at GVSU. Students do not need a vehicle to attend GVSU. As an option to parking a vehicle on the Allendale and/or Pew Grand Rapids campus, Grand Valley provides a number of free transportation alternatives:

-        The Campus Connector (Route 50), which runs between the Allendale and Pew Grand Rapids campus.
-        The  North Campus Express (Route 37), which transports students from apartment complexes and businesses near the north side of  the Allendale campus to the Allendale campus.
-        The South Campus Express (Route 48), which transports students from apartment complexes and businesses near the south side of the Allendale campus to the Allendale campus.
-       The CHS Express Shuttle (Route 51), which runs between the Pew Grand Rapids Campus and the Cook-DeVos Center for Health Sciences (CHS).
-       The Weekend Connector (Route 50), connecting the campuses on weekends.

Go to www.gvsu.edu/bus for schedule of details.

These services are free to students, faculty and staff that present a valid GVSU ID. Please log on to www.gvsu.edu/bus for the current bus/shuttle schedules. Direct any questions about bus transportation to the Pew Campus Operations office at (616) 331-6700.

Students who choose to park on the Allendale and/or the Pew Grand Campus are required to display a parking permit. For information on purchasing a permit, please refer to Section 2.3.
