GVSU COMMUNITY POLICING

In 1999, the Department of Public Safety began its Community Policing Unit consisting of specially trained Officers, who focus on problem solving strategies to crime prevention. The goal was to better enhance the trust between our students and our officers. We strive to promote collaboration between our officers and our community to solve our problems. The best way to accomplish this is to establish and maintain unprecedented partnerships directly with our students, and staff. Today, the unit works closely with the Housing Office in support and development of innovative programs that respond directly to the emerging needs of our student body.

This open position will be vacant until that time that a qualified replacement is installed.
