Description of Courses: These courses provide a concise overview of principles, examination, and treatment of muscles and associated soft tissues. It will introduce the clinician to an adaptive, systematic approach to the management of patients experiencing musculoskeletal and neuromuscular impairments involving the spine and upper/lower extremities across a lifespan. Principles of symptom localization, muscle investigation and anatomy review will be combined with manual techniques of Functional Massage™ to muscles incorporating bone, soft tissue movement and muscle tissue stretching.
Orthopedic pathologies and clinical relevance pertaining to the application of techniques will be thoroughly investigated. Given the understanding of this approach with a complete anatomy review of musculature, participants will be able to flexibly use these additional techniques in order to optimize functional outcomes in each patient and help them achieve their goals.
