Crystal Lamb was nominated in January, 2016 for the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Outstanding Student Physical Therapist Award by faculty in the GVSU department of physical therapy. A third year student at the time of her nomination, she was described as a "natural leader" in both the classroom, in clinical placements and within her position as the Michigan Physical Therapy Association Student Ambassador. Crystal's commitment to serving diverse, underrepresented and under-served individuals in her profession was recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association in June 2016. Pictured to the left with APTA President, Sharon Dunn, Crystal was awarded the APTA Minority Scholarship Award. At the same national conference, Crystal also received the Outstanding Student Ambassador Award for the entire country.
