Research Interests

My research interests focus broadly in the area of romantic relationships. Specifically, I am interested in the role of personality traits and psychopathology in the initial development of romantic relationships and in their dissolution. In my existing research, I have examined the role of personality and psychopathology on relationship quality in married couples. I have recently been more interested in factors which play a role in early relationship development (i.e., prior to marriage). I also am interested in understanding sexual health within romantic relationships.
