Research Interests

My research interests focus broadly in the area of romantic relationships. Specifically, I am interested in the role of personality traits and psychopathology in the initial development of romantic relationships and in their dissolution. In my existing research, I have examined the role of personality and psychopathology on marital adjustment in established married couples. My most recent project involved using a speed-dating design to examine factors which play a role in initial attraction and mate selection amongst college-aged participants.
