Ashley DeBoer VandeBunte
I graduated from GVSU in 2008 with a B.A. in International Relations
and a double minor in International Business and Spanish. Grand Valley
provided me with many professional development opportunities, such as
an international trade internship at the U.S. Department of Commerce
Grand Rapids Export Assistance Center, a research assistantship, and a
study abroad experience in Mexico. Upon graduating, I moved to DC to
work as a membership coordinator at the Retail Industry Leaders Association.
I am currently the director of meetings and events for the
American Political Science Association. This includes managing the
logistics of the association’s Annual Meeting, which brings together
political scientists to present and discuss their research. I also
organize the Teaching & Learning Conference, which focuses on
political science education.
