Please join us this Sunday, January 29th!
For the second film in our 11th season, Güeros is a 2014 Mexican film directed by Alonso Ruizpalacios. The film showcases three restless teens searching for folk-rocker Epigmenio Cruz on the streets of Mexico City during the student strikes of 1999.
This program is free and open to the public and begins at 2:00pm on Sunday, January 29 in the UICA theater, with the short film Wreck Hunters Evolution (8:31 min.) followed by the feature film.
A panel discussion with a film scholar and history/cultural representative takes place after the film viewing, followed by a reception with complimentary food and beverages reflecting the regional cuisine of the film's origin.
