Tax Information

*Everyone that lives or works in the United States is required to file taxes by April 15.  This includes those who have F-1 or J-1 status.  In addition, if you worked, you may also have to file State and Local income taxes.  This is a federal law.  In order to help you comply with United States Law, there will be information sessions available to you.

The days, dates, times and locations for these information sessions will be made available in February.  Generally, the sessions take place in March and April.  Participation in the session is not required, however, there will be NO individual assistance available.  Please plan to bring the following information with you to the session: pen and pencil, calculator, passport, I-20 or DS-2019, a copy of last year's taxes (if you were here and filed), 1042 S (I will have most of them, but if yours was accidentally mailed to you-please bring it).

If you do not plan on attending one of these sessions, you still are required to file taxes.  Forms will be available in the Padnos International Center-please make an appointment to pick them up.  Contact Kate Stoetzner with further questions.
