Airport Pick Up/Drop Off

Lectures/Presentations: Please work with the Departmental Faculty to see if presentations in their classes would be possible.

Office/Work Space: This should be worked out within the Department, perhaps with assistance from the Facilities Services- 331-3258

Computer and Email Account: Please work with your Academic Computing Liaison- 331-2101

Receptions: Please plan 1 reception within the first month of their arrival. The Hosting Department should pay for the cost of this reception.

Announce Guests to Campus Community: Contact the Forum (Michelle Coffill 331-2221) and Lanthorn (331-2460) in order to announce the visiting scholars. This may also help other faculty not associated with your department to extend invitations to guest lecture.

Organize Several Social Engagements: These engagements could be outings to the Meijer Gardens, Van Andel Museum, Ford Museum, and Grand Haven.

Develop Itineraries: As you schedule meetings, lectures etc. Please keep track of these for the scholars. In addition to anything that you are planning, they will need to meet with Kate Stoetzner, Director of International Student and Scholar Services (331-3898) for one hour during the first week of their arrival. Also, a meeting with Luanne Brown in the Payroll Office is necessary. She can be reached at 331-2255.

Business Cards: If appropriate, please work with the Departmental Secretary.

Name in Directory: If appropriate, please work with the Departmental Secretary.
