Studies in Photography at Grand Valley State University encompass the history, critical and aesthetic theory, and varied practice of photography as a medium of visual communication and expression in culture and society. Visiting Artist, Tulu Bayar,  Collaborates with Students


Our students had the chance to meet and work with internationally acclaimed artist, Tulu Bayar. She spent two days with our students visiting classes, critiquing work and collaborating with our installation class.

Turkish born Tulu Bayar holds a BA in Communication from the University of Ankara and an MFA in photography from the University of Cincinatti. She has had numerous exhibitions including the Pratt Manhattan Gallery in NYC, the Center for Photography in Woodstock, NY, The Center for Fine Art Photography in Colorado, and Camac Centre D'Art in France. She currently teaches at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA. www.tulubayar.com
