I have a MA degree in Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (1978, MA thesis; “Rawls, Intuitionism, and the Priority Problem.”) I became an affiliate professor at Grand Valley State University (Allendale MI) in Fall 2007. I started teaching part-time as an adjunct instructor at GVSU in 1997 and was visiting instructor of philosophy from 2001-2004. Areas of interest and research include applied ethics, business/organizational ethics, health care ethics, and philosophy of management. I have peer-reviewed papers published in HEC Forum, Teaching Philosophy, Philosophy of Management, Journal of Business Ethics, Philosophy in the Contemporary World, and Business Ethics Quarterly. I have taught at Grand Rapids Community College, Baker College, Davenport University, and Marian College of Fond du Lac (WI). Prior to teaching full-time as a visiting professor at GVSU in 2001, I had thirty-five years experience in manufacturing in positions ranging from hourly paid to Director of Operations.
