Professor Spear has been teaching at Grand Valley State University since the Fall of 2008. He completed his BA in Philosophy at the University of Wisconin Green Bay and his MA and PhD work at the University at Buffalo with a PhD thesis on analytic epistemology. Professor Spear is currently doing research on topics in epistemology, intentionality and the philosophy of mind, applied ontology, and some aspects of the work of Edmund Husserl. He also maintains the Walter Kaufmann Web Site Project. Professor Spear teaches history of Analytic Philosophy, Epistemology, Logic, and co-teachers courses on Civilization and the History of Science. He is also the faculty advisor for the Undergraduate Philosophical Society. |
