I am fortunate to report there are no new serious crimes to share in this memo but as the end of 2012 draws to a close, I would like to extend my thanks to the GVSU Pew Campus Community. Since I implemented the Crime Alert Memos in January, our department has seen an increase in people reporting suspicious situations/individuals, that would have simply been ignored in the past. These reports have lead to numerous larceny cases being solved, repeat trespassers arrested and helped create a safer community. My goal for 2013 is for all of us to continue the great effort in crime prevention and have continued success with reporting and cases being solved.

Any suspicious activity/individuals should be reported to the Pew Campus Security Department at (616) 331-6677 and an officer will be dispatched to the area.
