GVSU – PERL Peer Mentors
Eligibility: · You are currently a PERL student · You are in good academic and residence hall standing, with a GPA higher than 3.0 · You are interested in pre-law (i.e. you are thinking about attending law school) · Open to any major Responsibilities: · Assigned a group of 5-10 mentees · Contact incoming PERL students in summer with information about PERL and GVSU · Move in to Johnson one day early · Help with PERL student move-in and orientation events · Assist RA with PERL programming · Attend PERL events · Serve as a resource and role model for first-year PERL students · Assist RA with posting news and information in the residence hall Benefits: · Continue to live in and be a part of the PERL community · Choose your room in Johnson and move-in early · Interact with PERL faculty and the PERL RA in a leadership capacity · Learn leadership, organizational and communication skills · Be a role model for first-year PERL students · Receive a $100 GVSU bookstore gift card for each semester you serve as a PERL peer mentor, upon completion of your duties · Great line to add to your résumé |
