Women in STEM

Developing a Women in STEM presence on our campus, as well as in the College of Engineering and Computing, is something that we are very passionate about. While this project is just beginning, we are very interested to hear from our audience. If there is specific information or particular resources that you were hoping to find here, please let us know.   • Provide role models for young women considering a STEM field
  • Provide the latest information on popular majors in STEM fields: Majors That Need You!
  • Develop resources for K-12 students
  • Develop resources for perspective students
  • Develop resources for GVSU undergraduate and graduate women in STEM programs
  • Make connections with existing and developing GVSU programs that support women in STEM fields
    • Association for Women in Science – West Michigan (AWIS – WM)
    • WISE – Women in Science, Engineering and Math Housing
    • Regional Math and Science Center
  • Leverage outcomes to meet various institutional and college specific strategic objectives
