PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Student Summer Scholars
(S3) program and Modified Student Summer Scholars (MS3) program
provides funds for a student and faculty mentor to devote full or
part-time hours to a research and/or creative project during the
spring/summer semester.
GRANT INFORMATION
S3 grants provide a $4,000
student stipend and a small budget for materials and project expenses.
Faculty mentors can receive up to a $2,250 stipend.
MS3 grants
provide a $2,000 student stipend and a small budget for materials and
project expenses. Faculty mentors can receive up to $1,125 stipend.
APPLICATION PROCESS
The application is a
collaborative effort between the potential student scholar and faculty
mentor. Apply online at www.gvsu.edu/ours/s3 by
January 26, 2018. The online application system opens November 1,
2017, and closes at 11:59 PM, January 26, 2018
