Academic Leadership Journal in Student Research
The Academic Leadership Journal in Student Research is an annual, online, peer reviewed, international journal dedicated to the publication of student research (undergraduate and graduate) within all disciplines and of pedagogically based professional work that explores the intersection of student research with teaching and faculty research. Our mission is to provide a forum for exceptional student research and to promote collaboration between students and teachers in the classroom, laboratory, and field.
Who Can Submit?
Students: The Academic Leadership Journal in Student Research encourages undergraduate and graduate students to submit papers for consideration. Submissions are accepted for review on an ongoing basis. The author must be enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student attending an accredited institution of higher education when the submission was created. To be considered, articles must be submitted within a year after the authors graduation. Submissions are accepted from students worldwide.
Faculty: The Academic Leadership Journal in Student Research encourages pedagogically based submissions that explore the intersection of student research with teaching and faculty research and that promote collaboration between students and teachers. Submissions are accepted for review on an ongoing basis. Submissions are accepted from faculty worldwide.
Submissions should range between 2500-3750 words. Student submissions should follow stylistic guidelines current in the discipline represented. Faculty submissions should follow APA guidelines. All submissions should be original work and not under consideration, in part or in whole, by any other publication. Submission of a manuscript implies that all authors have read and agreed to its content and that any experimental research reported has been performed with the approval of an appropriate ethics committee. A copy of the protocol approval letter from the institutional IRB or IACUC must be submitted with the paper, if relevant. Authors must ensure that no submitted material infringes existing copyrights or the rights of a third party. Submissions should be sent as Microsoft Word attachments to editor_ALJ@fhsu.edu
