OSH Students and Faculty participate in the FIRST Robotics Competition

Students and faculty from Grand Valley State University's Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) program actively participated in the local West Michigan’s FIRST Robotics District Competition by volunteering their time and expertise.

OSH students delivered morning safety talks and conducted interviews with some participating teams to assess their safety programs. These assessments were then compiled and the First team was rewarded with the most outstanding safety program, awarding them the "Safety Champion" from the GVSU OSH department.

Additionally, the OSH department volunteers were responsible for tallying submissions and awarding the daily "Safety Star Award," and general promotion of safety awareness and recognition throughout the tournament.
