2018 Celebrating All Walks of Life Traditional Pow Wow

Description

A Pow Wow is a community gathering and celebration of culture through ceremony, song, dance, feasting and socializing. Traditional Pow Wows include invited Elders, Veterans and other honored guests to perform and participate in the celebration.  At a Pow Wow you can expect a series of activities including dancers, drummers, singers, vendors, and food.  All while maintaining a central core in traditional ceremony. 

  • Native American Dancers and Drummers
  • Native American Crafts
  • Traditional Native American Food
  • Silent Auction

Location:  GVSU Fieldhouse Arena, Allendale Campus

Saturday, April 7, 2018
11am:  Doors Open & Vendor Sales Begin
1pm – 4pm: Grand Entry (dancing and drumming)
4pm – 6pm: Break
6pm– 8pm: Grand Entry (dancing and drumming)

Sunday, April 8, 2018
11am:  Doors Open & Vendor Sales Begin
12:00 pm: Grand Entry (dancing and drumming)
 4:00 pm: Pow Wow ends
