LIB 100/201 Approved! Please join Middle East Studies for this very powerful public lecture by Nadia Murad Basee Taha and Haider Elias. The event is co-sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Affairs, Human Rights, Liberal Studies, Global Studies and Social Impact. Thank you to the Office of the Provost, Brooks College Dean’s Office, and Area, and Global Studies. Nadia Murad the UN Goodwill Ambassador for the Dignity of Survivors of Human Trafficking, an ISIS Survivor, and Human Rights Activist. She will give a talk on Sexual Slavery and the Yazidi Genocide. Haider Elias is co-founder and president for YAZDA, a global Yazidi Organization established to support the Yazidi minority in the aftermath of the Genocide campaign by ISIS against the Yazidi people. They will discuss the current genocide taking place against the Yazidi people carried out by ISIS. View the flyer event HERE.
