A panel discussion will be moderated by Levi Rickert (Native News Network) taking another look at what is now known as Columbus Day in much of the United States of America. Panelists will discuss the historical and social impact of the colonization of the Americas, as well as current movements which challenge the ?holiday?, such as the Dia de la Raza movement. Students are encouraged to interact with the panel through relevant questions and discussion. The program will also include a local artist and drum circle.
