To utilize NWLB funds for a degree-seeking program you must find a program that has been approved by the state. To look for the programs specific to GVSU you have to find this information on the career education website. The steps are outlined for you below:
1.) Go to www.mycareereducation.org
2.) Click on "Training Search" link. (Third question down on the page)
3.) Click on "Search by School" then scroll down to find Grand Valley State University. Please
note: you will select the first Grand Valley State University option.
4.) You can then move through the webpage by selecting "Next" and/or "Last Page" to view all
of the program options.
Program Not Listed?
If the program you wish to pursue isn't listed on the list of state approved GVSU programs submit the following form to apply for program approval. This process can take up to 30 business days to complete. The state approved list is different from the high demand jobs listing. You must monitor www.mycareereducation.org regularly after you have requested approval. Your program must be approved and listed on the website before you can complete steps 2 through 5 and schedule an appointment. Please see the instructions above for the most up to date state approved programs at GVSU.
If your program is listed on the career education website continue on to steps 2 through 5.
