ABOUT NSF ADVANCE
Partnerships for Adaptation, Implementation, and Dissemination (PAID)
The NSF ADVANCE PAID project is a partnership between Grand Valley State University and the University of Michigan. Shaily Menon and Kathleen Underwood are co-P.I.s on this project at GVSU and Abigail Stewart is a co-P.I. at the University of Michigan. The total award amount is $500,000 for a period of two years (October 2006 to October 2008).
This project is funded through National Science Foundation's ADVANCE program. The goal of the NSF ADVANCE program is to increase the representation and advancement of women in academic science and engineering careers. The ADVANCE program includes support for the PAID Award, which stands for Partnerships for Adaptation, Implementation, and Dissemination.
The NSF PAID Award supports the analysis, adaptation, dissemination and use of existing innovative materials and practices demonstrated to be effective in increasing representation and participation of women in academic science and engineering careers.
