Amanda Pitts

Amanda Pitts has over eight years of experience in the field of photography. While earning a bachelor’s degree in Photography from Grand Valley State University, she worked in a portrait studio, which helped her gain hands on knowledge of lighting and Photoshop techniques. After graduation, she continued working with various portrait and wedding photographers in Grand Rapids to further hone her photographic and design skills.

Amanda was happy to return to Grand Valley in 2007 to join the News and Information Services team. Since then she has received a master’s degree in Communications, also at Grand Valley, and likes to volunteer her time and photographic skills to promote the growth and use of public green spaces within the Kent County Parks System.
