Jack De Boer

Jack De Boer has been an adjunct instructor at GVSU since the fall of 2004. He teaches both Fundamentals of Music as well as Introduction to Music Literature. Jack got his BA from Calvin College and his MA at Northern Illinois University. Prior to coming to GVSU he taught music theory on the high school level.

Jack has both vocal and instrumental music experience. He sang in the Apollo Chorus of Chicago for five years and performed for many years in an acapella vocal ensemble. He has experience as a drummer/percussionist in concert band, jazz band, and rock band. Jack occasionally did some jazz trio work in the Chicago area as well.
