Symphony Orchestra

Take Note of the Following

1. If you intend to be a Music Major (BM, BME, or BA) or a Music Minor, go here and follow the Audition instructions and fill out the Audition Application so that you will be signed up for an audition time. (Note that orchestra membership is a separate audition and that you do not have to be a Music Major or Minor to participate in the orchestra.)
2. If you wish to audition for the GVSU Symphony Orchestra:
   1. Fill out the form below and submit it.
   2. Keep the Symphony Orchestra rehearsal time slot (Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 to 8 pm) open in your schedule.
   3. All information about the orchestra, including repertoire, is available on our website. Audition material will be posted for download on this website no later than August 1.
   4. You will be contacted about an audition time. The orchestra auditions are held in late August on Saturday and Sunday just before classes begin on Monday.
   5. If we have your G number, you will be given permission to register for MUS 103, section 01. If you do not pass the audition, you may then drop the course during the first week of class.
